The configuration of the cores of the new platform is still unknown, but its frequency is disclosed, and it will be 3.54-3.7 GHz. In Geekbench, the chip scored 1889 points in single-threaded mode and 14586 points in multi-threaded mode. In turn, the Apple M1 Max in these tests scored 1750 and 12200 points respectively, which is 10% and 20% less. It is likely that the results shown by the M2 Max are not final, and in the final tests after the release of the next generation MacBook, it will be able to perform even better.

Compared to solutions from other manufacturers in the face of the Intel Core i9-13900K and AMD Ryzen 7000 Zen 4, the chip from the apple company loses, as they score more than 2000 and 20000 points in the benchmark tests in the respective modes. The M2 Ultra processor will try to change the hierarchy, which will be the most productive among Cupertinians.
