New Neuralink brain chip presentation announced

Elon Musk announced this on his Twitter. What exactly will be presented at the event is unknown, but some rumors about the likely announcement of the company have already begun to circulate on the Internet.



The event will take place on October 31st. Musk did not give any details, but according to unconfirmed information, he recently wanted to invest in Synchron, a competing company that also creates technologies in this area. In July, Synchron successfully implanted a chip in a patient without a craniotomy. Elon Musk's Neuralink cannot boast of such results yet, since they have only tested animals.



It is likely that the announcement will concern the beginning of cooperation between the two competing firms. Neuralink has been experiencing difficulties lately: the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has not yet provided any information regarding the company's approval to conduct human trials of the implant. In addition, a number of publications report that since Neuralink was founded, most of the co-founders have left it. At the moment, the most significant achievement of the company is the chipping of monkeys.
