In the preview build of Windows 10 22H2, the change process began to look like a similar procedure in Windows 7. To do this, you only need to click once on the key suggested by Chrome. Further in the settings, this item will change automatically. Interestingly, Windows 11 does not yet have such a function: in this OS, pressing the button will take the user to the “Default Applications” tab, where you need to select the program manually.

Opera and Mozilla Firefox have this one-key browser switching feature. For Chrome, this option will become available after the autumn release of Windows 10 22H2 and a browser update from Google. Whether a similar option will appear in Windows 11 is unclear.
