Apple's new laptop is currently only available for pre-order, but the results of its tests in one of the well-known benchmarks have appeared on the network. The model showed similar performance results with a more premium Pro modification equipped with an identical processor.
Based on the results of testing, the MacBook Air M2 in single-threaded and multi-threaded modes scored 1899 and 8965 points. In turn, the Pro version showed 1919 and 8965 points in the same modes. It is worth noting here that the performance of the Air laptop can vary, because when interacting with multimedia files, the processor can independently lower the clock speed due to the lack of an active cooling system.
According to the company's representatives, the M2 chipset has an 18% increase in performance compared to its predecessor. It also has 35% faster integrated graphics and a 40% faster neural processor. In fact, the MacBook Air M2 shows an increase in performance in single-threaded mode by 11.56%, and in multi-threaded mode by 19.45%.
