Rumor: Apple may remove the physical keyboard in future versions of the MacBook
Apple has filed a patent for a touch keyboard for its laptops. The document states that the technological panel will be able to lift part of the touch screen for tactile feedback. The patent also lists other features of the new keyboard.

The 170-page document includes a description of several technologies, most of which, in all likelihood, will not be implemented in practice. Along with the possibility of placing the keyboard above the touch screen, the patent describes the interaction of the laptop with various input peripherals, similar to Microsoft's Surface Dial, and the introduction of a wireless magnetic charger to charge auxiliary devices.

Together with the above technologies, the patent indicates the possibility of developing keys that will be sensitive to touch, which will make it possible to work with the device through gestures. Also, future MacBook models may get a curved keyboard to improve touch comfort.
