The first e-SIM compatible with all Android devices has arrived
eSIM technology appeared several years ago, but not all mobile devices support it. The creators of the eSIM.me project took up the solution of this issue. They released a physical SIM card with an additional chip and a mobile application where the SIM card can be configured.

The accessory has the same hardware and software as the factory-made modules of electronic SIM-cards. It is also noteworthy that Android 9 and above have all the necessary APIs for the operation of such SIM cards. Using an electronic SIM-card, the owner of a mobile device can avoid trips to communication stores to change the operator.

The mobile application from eSIM.me allows you to switch from one profile and phone number to another in an instant. The program is already available on the Google Play marketplace, and it can work with operators from Russia, as evidenced by user reviews. But there is one “but” - to use the application, you will have to purchase a physical eSIM from the project website. Depending on the number of profiles used, it will cost $24.95 or more.

At the beginning of this year, Qualcomm made an announcement about eSIM. Then the vendor announced its intention to introduce an electronic SIM card directly into the chipset. This approach would allow you to connect a mobile device without attaching a physical SIM card to it.
