This feature is primarily designed for users with deafness, it will allow you to watch videos without subtitles, and also make it possible to communicate with the interlocutor through the FaceTime application. Live Captions will receive smartphones and tablets, users will be able to adjust the font size for themselves and enter text, which will subsequently be voiced by the on-screen voice.

Until the end of 2022, iPhone 11 and above, iPad with A12 Bionic chipset and above will receive functionality. In addition, among the devices that support the function, Mac PCs with an Apple Silicon chip are announced.

Mobile devices iPhone and iPad will also receive a feature called Door Detection. It is designed to assist visually impaired users in determining the location of the door in the room, the distance from it, how to open it and find special characters and signs near it. The feature will be available for devices with a LiDAR sensor.



For users of the Apple Watch Series 6 and 7 with developmental features, a device control function via AirPlay has been prepared. To do this, it will be necessary to use voice control and other specialized features, including head tracking. For simple, frequent actions, device owners will be able to use gesture functions. For example, in this way it will be possible to complete cufflinks, take screenshots or dismiss notifications.

In addition to all of the above, Apple is announcing expanded support for VoiceOver display readers. In particular, two dozen new languages ​​will be added. Also, users will be given a choice of optimized voices for different languages ​​and the ability to check the text to find formatting problems.

All new features will become available before the end of the year with a software update.
