The embargo on the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D review has not yet subsided, but the results of gaming tests of the gaming processor have already become known. The novelty was compared in several games with the more expensive Intel Core i9-12900K.

Data on testing the chip was shared by a portal from Peru XanxoGaming. Judging by the information presented, the chip from AMD performed better than the processor from Intel. And this despite the fact that the latter costs $120 more.

The test platform consisted of 32 GB DDR4-3200 (CL-14) RAM and a GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Founders Edition graphics card, titles were launched at 1080p.

Ultimately, the Ryzen 7 5800X3D performed better in all the games involved. In most of the comparisons, the gap was minimal, but in Final Fantasy XV, Shadow Of The Tomb Raider and in the third part of The Witcher, the AMD chip performed more powerfully. For example, in FFXV, the discrepancy in performance reached 29%.

The expected retail price of the novelty will be $449, the chip will become available this month. Before that, it became known that the new CPU could not be overclocked due to the architecture.
