Steam Deck got support for Windows 11
The Steam Deck portable game console received support for Windows 11. Previously, only Windows 10 could be installed on the console.

On March 11, Valve opened access to software for its console, which makes it possible to install Windows. At that time, only Windows 10 could be installed on the console, since the TPM security module required to install the eleventh version of the OS was not yet supported. A new BIOS update resolved this issue.

In addition, the patch fixed the touch screen issue after several downloads. The stability of the set-top box has also been improved and compatibility with several SD cards has been added. Other improvements include increased standby time without charging and the ability to enter text simultaneously with two trackpads.

The update has become available in the beta channel for users who want to try it out and provide feedback. Installation is done in the system settings, where you need to select "Beta" on the OS update channel.

Console owners have the ability to install third-party operating systems, including Windows. The device does not support dual boot, therefore, to install the latest version of the OS, you must choose between systems from Valve or Microsoft.
