The subscription service, codenamed PlayStation Spartacus, turned out to be little more than an improved version of PlayStation Plus. The previous subscription was merged with PS Now and divided into 4 tiers:

Essential. The initial version, almost indistinguishable from the previous version of the service. Users will be given access to online and two free titles every month. The subscription price is $9.99/$24.99/59.99 per month, quarter, and year, respectively.

Extra. Improved version with Essential content and about four hundred games for PS4 and PS5. The cost is $14.99/$39.99/$99.99.

Premium. In this option, there are opportunities from the above subscription options. Also, users will be able to try out the list of titles from all other Sony consoles with the exception of PS Vita. PS3 games will be made available via the cloud in regions where this is possible. The cost is $17.99/$49.99/$119.99.

Deluxe. This option will replace Premium for markets where cloud streaming is not available. The price tag will be slightly lower and will be formed depending on the region.

When the service will start its work, Sony did not name. The launch is expected to take place in mid-2022. Already at launch, users with Extra, Premium and Deluxe subscriptions will have access to the following game titles: Death Stranding, God of War, Marvel's Spider Man and its spin-off about Miles Morales, Mortal Kombat 11 and Returnal.
