As the reviewers found out, the 27-inch diagonal matrix used in the device has already appeared in the 2020 iMac. Although the display brightness has been slightly increased to 600 nits, the solution has a number of drawbacks in the form of the lack of a local dimming option and support for displaying HDR media content. Also at work in a darkened room, the black image turns to gray.In addition, the budget display scan of 60 Hz is also frustrating.

The best marks were given to the sound of the monitor. So, the reviewers highlighted the high-level sound of the speakers with support for Dolby Atmos. The microphones, which are able to perfectly cope with the suppression of extraneous noise in videoconferencing, did not let us down either.

The 12 MP webcam with f/2.4 aperture received more restrained ratings - interaction with the A13 Bionic processor did not save the picture from a large amount of noise and distortion of the interlocutor's skin texture. As it turned out, the problem is software in nature, since image flaws are visible in all video communication applications, including FaceTime, Zoom, Photo Booth and Quick Time. Perhaps a future update will fix the shortcomings of the software.

The Verge reviewer noted that the novelty should appeal to those who need a high screen image. For other users, there are more budget devices from other companies with support for macOS.
