Devices with Exynos 2200 are not yet available to ordinary users, but insiders have already become aware of the test results of the new chipset. Graphics called Xclipse 920 based on AMD RDNA2 was compared with Adreno 730 from Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 - the graphics capabilities of the chip from Qualcomm turned out to be lower than that of the newcomer.

The GPU in the new Exynos is known to have support for variable refresh rates and ray tracing. During the test, the Samsung SM-908B platform (it is assumed that this was the upcoming Galaxy S22 smartphone) with 8 GB of RAM in the OpenCL benchmark scored 9143 points against 6199 points for the Adreno 730.

The previous chipset from Qualcomm in the face of Snapdragon 888 earned only 4835 points in the test. The leader was A15 Bionic from Apple (14556 points).

The Exynos 2200 has a Cortex X2 main core, which is complemented by a trio of Cortex-A710 cores and four energy-efficient Cortex-A510 cores. The exact layout of the Xclipse 920 is not yet known, but the chipset may have six execution units (384 streaming processes).

Most likely, the first device on the fresh Exynos will be the Samsung Galaxy S22, the announcement of which should take place in February.
