New GeForce RTX 3090 Ti graphics card: Micron GDDR6X memory and 450W TDP
The GeForce RTX 3090 Ti video card, which is due to be released next year, will get powerful GDDR6X memory from Micron. Information was shared by Uniko's Hardware from Taiwan.

In the presented data, the Micron GDDR6X encoding appears, and video cards will be supplied with them. Apparently, the novelty is equipped with MT61K512M32KPA-21U 21 Gbps memory.

In addition, the new video adapter will be the first to use 16 Gb (2 GB) units with the GDDR6X video memory standard. Prior to that, NVIDIA did not have access to such solutions, so it used GDDR6 video memory in its products for workstations, and 24 modules had to be used for the current flagship RTX 3090.

Now the company can afford chips of higher capacity, so the number of modules in the future video card will be cut by half. The use of 12 instead of 24 will make it possible to simplify the design device - for the RTX 3090, some of the video memory modules were located on the rear panel. Also, the upcoming video adapter probably needs a more powerful cooling configuration: the possible TDP figure for the RTX 3090 Ti will reach 450 W, while for the RTX 3090 it was 350 W.

It is expected that the new product will be the first representative of the product line of GeForce devices with a full-featured GPU GA102-350, which has 10752 CUDA cores. The high-speed video memory and 384-bit bus will theoretically exceed the 1TB / sec bandwidth, which will be a record for the GeForce series.

The expected timing of the presentation of the video card is next January, the announcement should take place following the release of the RTX 3080 12 GB and RTX 3070 Ti 16 GB devices.
