Pixel 6 owners are once again unhappy with the new smartphone. This time they were not satisfied with the slow charging of the devices. Google again had to respond to criticism.
The Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro should officially support 30W fast charging. However, even with the original adapter (which needs to be purchased separately) rated for 30W, the actual charging power is only 22W. This indicator holds up to approximately 50% of the charge, and then decreases. As a result, it takes almost two hours to fully charge the smartphone.
According to Google, several factors affect power: battery design, temperature, state of charge, and even what use cases apply to a smartphone. In theory, the company managed to make it so that 50% of the charge was reached in half an hour, and in an hour the device would already have 80%. Google also admits that in reality the original 30W power adapter shows 21W and 23W for the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, respectively.
Perhaps with future updates, the company will fix this problem. Previously, users complained about the slow response of the sub-screen fingerprint scanner, to which Google responded that the slow speed was due to the high reliability of the security algorithms. As a result, a recent update fixed this problem.
