Netflix will release a video game based on the acclaimed TV series "Squid Game"

The Korean drama Squid Game made a splash on Netflix, becoming the best in its category in streaming history. In the wake of success, the creators are contemplating the development of a video game based on the show.



Minen Kim, top manager for Asian streaming, told The Hollywood Reporter about the plans for the game. He also talked about the possibility of creating an entire franchise with branches, related products with show symbols and interactive thematic content.

Squid Game is a South Korean production about a survival tournament. It was released in mid-September, but gained widespread popularity in October.
