The latest Firefox update may not appeal to privacy-conscious users. Mozilla intends to track more information and offer advertisements directly in the address bar.

In the September update of Firefox version 92, there is a Firefox Suggest option that displays promotional offers. In the process of typing into the address bar, the user can observe not only the options from the search engine, but also ads from the browser. The new Firefox 93 update will enable this feature by default. This is now observed only in the United States, but in the future it will be implemented everywhere.

Firefox Suggest works in the following way: during the input process, the text is analyzed on the browser servers, and the user's location is also tracked. Depending on the data received, the user is given offers from the Internet browser itself and Mozilla partners. The company says it works exclusively with firms that comply with Firefox's privacy standards.

At the moment, it is possible to remove the function in the privacy settings, but it is unclear whether it will be possible to do this in future versions of the browser.
