On September 22, Meizu held a presentation where it introduced three new smartphone models: 18s in standard and Pro versions, as well as 18x. If the first two devices are an update of the flagship devices released this spring, the third is a completely new device.

Meizu 18x can offer the user a screen with a 6.67" AMOLED matrix, support for 120 Hz, a color depth of 10 bits and a maximum brightness of 700 nits. The device will be powered by a 4300 mAh battery that supports fast charging of 30 watts. The device can be unlocked. using a fingerprint scanner located under the display.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset with 12 GB LPDDR4x RAM is responsible for the performance of the smartphone, the amount of memory can be expanded by another 7 GB. Internal storage UFS 3.1 holds 256 GB. The device uses Android 11 with a proprietary shell Flyme 9.2 as an operating system.

The smartphone's camera has three modules: the main 64 megapixel from Samsung, the 8 megapixel ultra-wide and a two-megapixel depth sensor. The front camera has a resolution of 13 megapixels and is located in a miniature cutout of the screen. Other features of the model include the presence of a USB Type-C connector, a tray for two SIM cards, support for fifth generation networks, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 and GPS modules. Depending on the configuration, the Meizu 18x is asked for $401- $464.

Updates to the flagship line received Snapdragon 888+ chips, there are no other changes compared to the models released in the spring. The cost of 18s devices will be $571- $664 for the standard version and $711- $834 for the enhanced version. The smartphones will be available for purchase on September 26, but only in China.
