Windows 11 will get rid of preinstalled programs
The final version of Windows 11 will be out soon, so more and more interesting details about this OS are emerging. One of them is the revision of the policy regarding pre-installed applications.

Windows 11 will get rid of preinstalled programs

According to Microsoft representatives, system performance will be improved by reducing the number of preinstalled programs. All such applications will be available as icons in the Start menu.

Upon launching and entering the program, the user will see a splash screen while the application is being downloaded from the Microsoft Store. This solution is designed not only to free up space on the hard disk, but also to reduce the load on the "operating system" in the process of checking and installing programs.

In addition, Microsoft will add functionality on demand (FOD) to the OS, sent as .cab files on an ISO image. So, software for Ethernet and Wi-Fi, as well as for other important tools, will always be available at the user's request, which will reduce the consumption of internal memory.

Windows 11 will ship on October 5th.
