Apple Watch Series 7: larger display with narrow bezels with the same autonomy
As part of the global presentation of its products, Apple introduced the new Watch Series.

The new devices have a display that has become larger thanks to a 40 percent reduction in bezels, which are now 1.7 mm thick. The screen will be 70% brighter in Always-on mode. The shape of the body and edges remained the same, despite previously leaked information about changes in these aspects. At the same time, the case itself did not increase much and for each version it became one millimeter larger: the compact version now has dimensions of 41 mm, and the standard version is 45 mm.

The improved display, according to Apple, is able to accommodate 50% more information compared to the previous generation watch. Also, the screen has support for new options for interacting with the keyboard, including swiping. The user will have access to a new set of dials, as well as the ability to create your own dial from separate modules.

Both devices are the most secure in the range. The screen protection here is provided by reinforced glass, and the protection of the case meets the IP6X standard, according to which the device can be immersed in sand without consequences.

The autonomy of the smart watch remains the same: from one charge, it will work up to 18 hours. At the same time, the charging speed has increased by 33% compared to its predecessors thanks to the use of the USB-C cable.

The watchOS 8 hardware platform has also undergone updates, where new functionality has been introduced. The changes have affected the training mode on a bike: now the watch will be able to mark breaks in training sessions, as well as call emergency services in case of falls or accidents with the participation of a cyclist. Received updates and the Fitness Plus service: Pilates was added to it and the ability to work out with other users through Share Play.

The smartwatch will be available in five colors: black, gold, blue, red and dark green with a reinforced strap. There is no exact date for the devices to go on sale, but they are expected to be available in the fall. The starting price tag for the devices will be $ 399.
