Netflix is testing its Android games on its platform
On August 26, two Stranger Things Android games became available to streaming subscribers. The offer is valid only for users from Poland.

The streaming giant announced plans to include gaming projects last month. Mike Verd, ex-head of EA Mobile, was entrusted to develop this direction.

In Netflix's announcement of the start of testing the gaming section on Twitter, it was said that this is only the first step in mastering the new format, and all the work lies ahead.

The games streamed for testing are two 16-bit adventure games based on one of their most popular projects, Stranger Things. They do not have ad insertions and internal transactions like Apple Arcade and Google Play Pass. The only difference is that game development should increase competition with similar streaming services such as Disney +, HBO Max, Paramount + and other similar platforms.

The games will be available in the main feed along with films and TV series. To go to the description, the user will need to click on the icon; Google Play will open for installation. In addition, downloads are carried out directly from the app store.

After installation and launch is complete, the user needs to log in with their Netflix account credentials. This way, games are launched locally and not through cloud storage.

The terms of access to the new opportunity for users of other countries are not yet available. Also, the company did not give information on expanding the gaming direction for subscribers with devices on iOS.
